BrewDog bar in Fountain Square is permanently closed – Indianapolis Business Journal

BrewDog, a Scottish firm that made Indianapolis the second metropolis of its U.S. enlargement, ended its run in Fountain Sq. Friday.

“Right this moment, we made the powerful determination to completely shut our Indianapolis bar,” the corporate mentioned in an announcement offered to IBJ. “We’re doing every little thing we are able to to make sure a clean and truthful transition for our Indy-based crew members, together with providing all crew members full-time jobs at our different places, a stipend for relocating, and serving to facilitate future profession strikes.”

BrewDog opened on the primary flooring of the Forte condo constructing, 1140 Shelby St., in September 2019.

The 4,000-square-foot bar featured 24 faucets and a menu highlighted by tacos, hamburgers, sandwiches, pretzels and Buffalo Cauliflower wings.

BrewDog made its transfer abroad by opening a bar in Columbus, Ohio, in 2017. The corporate subsequently opened a brewery and two accommodations in Columbus. BrewDog bars opened in Cincinnati, Cleveland and Pittsburgh after the Indianapolis location opened.

James Watt and Martin Dickie based BrewDog in Fraserburgh, Scotland, in 2007. BrewDog beer is bought at greater than 20 liquor and grocery shops in Indianapolis.
