Milwaukee Bucks Add Elite Floor-Spacer in Trade Proposal With Indiana Pacers

The Milwaukee Bucks have to be putting a lot of thought into Giannis Antetokounmpo’s comments about winning a championship in the immediate future. To be fair to Milwaukee’s front office, they did all they could in this regard this summer, and their vision was to retain their championship-winning core from a couple of years ago.

Whether or not this will be enough to lead them to another title remains to be seen, though.

Milwaukee Bucks Swoop in On Buddy Hield in Proposed Trade

If the Bucks decide that they would like to make a move in the near future, then it wouldn’t hurt for them to add an elite floor-spacer alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo. According to James Piercey of NBA Analysis Network, this could come in the form of Indiana Pacers sharpshooter Buddy Hield.

Here are the details of the proposed trade:

Indiana Pacers Receive: F/C Bobby Portis, G/F Grayson Allen, G/F MarJon Beauchamp 

Milwaukee Bucks Receive: G/F Buddy Hield 

There is no more obvious path for Milwaukee than to continue building around Giannis — at least while they still can. So long as he’s on the team, the front office should do everything they can to surround him with players who complement his game. Piercey believes that Hield satisfies this condition:

“Hield is among the very best three-point shooters in the NBA. His ability to space the floor will make life easier for Antetokoumnpo. It’ll open up driving lanes in a way that the Bucks haven’t been able to do for their superstar to date,” Piercey wrote.

Last season in Indiana, the former No. 6 overall pick produced averages of 16.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.2 steals, while also connecting on 3.6 triples per game on a highly efficient 42.5 percent clip.

Indiana Pacers Get Nice Haul in Exchange for Buddy Hield

Buddy Hield has already garnered a lot of interest from around the NBA in recent years. It’s safe to say that he’s a hot commodity, which means that the Bucks will need to give up a significant haul in order to recruit the 30-year-old to Milwaukee.

Bobby Portis would be a good addition to the Pacers as he can immediately slot alongside Myles Turner in the frontcourt. Grayson Allen also adds a lot of grit to Indiana and his veteran presence could also be beneficial for the younger players on the squad.

The big prize for the Pacers, however, has to be MarJon Beauchamp. The former first-round pick showed flashes of brilliance in his rookie year last season, but he just hasn’t had enough opportunities in Milwaukee. A fresh start in Indiana could be the perfect situation for the 22-year-old as the Pacers look to tap into his potential alongside All-Star point guard Tyrese Haliburton.
