Mild Weather Sets Records in Northwest Indiana
Northwest Indiana saw two back-to-back days of record-breaking mild weather last week. The National Weather Service Climate Summary shows Valparaiso reached a high of 62 early Friday afternoon, topping the old record of 56 for February 9 set in 1999 and 2001. It was also mild last year with a high of 54 on the same date inn 2023. Last Thursday Valpo saw a high of 59, surpassing the previous record of 50 for February 8 set in 2001.
