Men’s Soccer Travels to Indiana for Big Ten Road Test – University of Michigan Athletics

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The University of Michigan men’s soccer team (2-3-3, 1-0-1 B1G) travels to Indiana (3-3-2, 0-1-1 B1G) on Tuesday evening (Sept. 26) for a Big Ten Conference contest at 7 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.

Notes:

• Michigan earned its first Big Ten Conference victory with a 3-2 win over Rutgers last Friday (Sept. 22). The Wolverines surged a comeback after trailing 2-0 heading into the second half and scored three come-from-behind goals in the win at U-M Soccer Stadium.

• Transfer Riley Ferch netted his first goal for Michigan and what would be the game-winner as he capitalized on a set piece opportunity from 25-yards out against Rutgers. Ferch has appeared in all eight matches this season and has made six starts for U-M with one goal and one assist.

• Freshman Alex Waggoner has scored three goals for the Wolverines as he netted the game-tying goal against Rutgers. Waggoner currently ranks second for U-M with six points, having played in all eight matches and making seven starts for the Maize and Blue.

 • Captain Bryce Blevins continues to lead Michigan with a team-best eight points after adding his third goal of the season on a penalty kick against Rutgers. Blevins has started all eight matches and ranks second with 672 minutes on the pitch.

• Sophomore Nolan Miller has been a force on the backline since he stepped on campus for his freshman year. This season, Miller has played a team-best 717 minutes, including the full 90 minutes in seven out of eight matches. Most recently, Miller saved a would-be goal on the goal line against Rutgers to help secure the Big Ten victory for the Wolverines.

• Freshman Joao Paulo Ramos recorded his first collegiate goal at Oakland (Sept. 19) in his first collegiate start. Ramos netted the ball into the upper right corner of the goal on a one-timer opportunity. The freshman midfielder now has three points on the season as he had an assist against Cal Baptist (Aug. 27).
