Indiana woman charged with OWI after crashing twice in Porter County blizzard

PORTER COUNTY, Ind. – Blizzard-like situations in Porter County Friday night didn’t cease one Indiana girl from driving drunk, state police say. 

Indiana State Police say Tiffany Bergstorm, 32, from Chesterton, was arrested and charged for Working Whereas Intoxicated (OWI) on I-94. 

Round 6 p.m. on Dec. 23, troopers had been stationed on westbound I-94 helping in a highway closure close to the Burns Harbor exit because of an earlier crash. Whereas there, troopers noticed a two-vehicle crash involving a automotive and a semi within the reverse westbound lanes.
