Indiana trooper makes 2 drug busts in LaPorte County within 10 hours

An Indiana State Trooper discovered marijuana and illicit medicine throughout two totally different visitors stops on I-94 this previous Saturday. 

On the morning of Feb. 18, round 7 a.m., a trooper from the Lowell Put up stopped a Chevrolet Cruz close to the 40 mile-marker for a visitors violation.

The trooper noticed marijuana merchandise within the passenger seat and searched the remainder of the automobile. A pound of marijuana merchandise, in addition to, 60 grams of cocaine, 96 Xanax tablets and 76 Aderall tablets have been discovered. 

The motive force, Daniel New, 24, from Hartsel, Colo., was arrested and transported to the LaPorte County Jail.

Later that day, round 3:50 p.m., the identical trooper tried to cease a grey SUV on I-94 close to the 43 mile-marker. 

The car didn’t cease, and the trooper adopted the motive force till the SUV crashed on SR 49 close to the doorway to the Indiana Dunes.

The automobile was searched, and the trooper discovered 17 lbs. of marijuana, in addition to, $10K in money.

The motive force, Michael P. Lopez, 28, from Aurora was transported to the LaPorte County Jail.

Each drivers are going through felony drug fees.
