Indiana man arrested in connection to Coldwater stabbing
COLDWATER, MI – A 24-year-old man was taken to the hospital after being stabbed Saturday in Coldwater.
Police took into custody a 38-year-old man from Indiana identified as the suspect.
Around 2:40 p.m. Aug. 19, first responders were dispatched to East Chicago Street near the I-69 southbound on-ramp for a report of a stabbing, possible shots fired and an “unknown injury accident,” according to the Coldwater Public Safety Department.
Officers found the Coldwater man with two stab wounds. He was taken to Promedica Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
The department of public safety said no shots were fired during the incident. It’s unclear what events led to the stabbing.
