Indiana borough’s public works employees were recognized for some great work at Tuesday night’s Indiana Borough Council meeting.

Council vice-president Kaycee Newell complimented the workers as they have had a busy month with road work and helping with the prep for the Municipal Building renovation in moving offices to where they need to go.  That sentiment was echoed by borough manager Nicole Sipos.

The board approved two events that will be held later this summer: A Coney Alley Concert on July 27th and the United Way Kickoff Event on August 6th on North 8th Street between Philadelphia and Water Streets.  Both events were also granted a variance to the open container ordinance.
