ID, cause of death provided for missing 3-year-old NW Indiana girl

LONG BEACH, Ind. (AP) — Authorities recognized and offered the reason for demise Monday for a 3-year-old lady who was discovered lifeless after being reported lacking.

LaPorte County Coroner Lynn Swanson recognized the lady as Amy Ivey and stated her reason behind demise was asphyxiation secondary to drowning, The Occasions of Northwest Indiana reported.

The lady, who had autism and was nonverbal, died Thursday regardless of an hourslong effort to revive her, Michigan Metropolis Police Division Sgt. Steve Forker.

She was discovered about 1:30 p.m. Thursday within the water alongside the north shoreline of Clare Lake in Lengthy Seaside, Forker stated. She had been reported lacking two hours earlier.

Lengthy Seaside is a LaPorte County group that overlooks Lake Michigan about 40 miles (64 kilometers) east of Chicago.
