2 tornadoes confirmed outside Madison, Indiana. What we know so far

Two tornadoes touched down outside Madison, Indiana, around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, officials confirmed to The Courier Journal.

Indiana Emergency Management Agency officials said one tornado touched down in Hanover, while the second was confirmed in neighboring Switzerland County.

At least one home and a trailer were damaged. No injuries were reported as of 3 p.m.

Around 2,000 Duke Energy customers in Hanover were without power, according to the company’s website.

In Kentucky, the National Weather Service in Louisville said crews will be surveying possible tornado damage in Milton, a town in Trimble County. According to poweroutage.us, 4,148 people in Trimble County were without power at 3:30 p.m.
