19-year-old killed in Southern Indiana crash

PALMYRA, Ind. (WAVE) – A 19-year-old was killed after investigators imagine she overcorrected her automobile on State Highway 135 in Palmyra Monday night time, left the street and finally crashed right into a tree.

In keeping with Indiana State Police, Samantha Ann Riley from Corydon was driving a maroon 2003 Honda Accord round 7:30 p.m. when the crash occurred.

A preliminary investigation reveals as she tried to overcorrect whereas driving southbound on State Highway 135, she swerved into the northbound lane and left the street. The automobile then hit an embankment, mailboxes and the entrance porch of a home earlier than going airborne and crashing right into a tree.

Riley died earlier than she might be delivered to the hospital.

“Alcohol is believed to be an element on this crash,” ISP Sgt. Carey Huls stated. “First responders and investigators remained on the scene properly into the night.”

ISP is dealing with the crash investigation.
