Texas cornerback Terrance Brooks commits to Illinois
Some much-needed secondary help for Bret Bielema’s defense.
Texas cornerback Terrance Brooks committed to Illinois on Sunday, according to a post on X.
Brooks has played two seasons with Texas, starting 19 games, including the College Football Playoff semifinal.
According to 247, he was scheduled to visit Michigan and USC this coming week.
The 6-foot, 209-pound Brooks has two years of eligibility remaining.
He commits to Illinois after several departures in the secondary, which was already depleted in 2023 after a trio of NFL Draft picks last year.
