Horst joins National Council of Faculty Senates meeting
Chairs of college senates sometimes spend their time representing and involving college in shared governance. To proceed this mission, Dr. Martha Horst, professor at Illinois State College, joined 21 different governance leaders in Houston to debate nationwide shared governance points on the assembly of the Nationwide Council of College Senates.
Held on the College of Houston, this was the primary face-to-face assembly of the Nationwide Council of College Senates in three years.
Horst, the long-serving treasurer of the council, stepped down for Professor Wynne Chin of the College of Houston. College of the District of Columbia Professor Arlene King-Berry was elected vp.
Horst joined leaders from the College Senate of Virginia, Ferris State College, Illinois State College, Mary Washington College, Nicholls State College, Northwestern State College, Sam Houston State College, Southeastern Oklahoma State College, Stockton College, SUNY College Senate, SUNY Oswego, Texas A&M College, Texas A&M College at Kingsville, College of Arkansas at Little Rock, College of the District of Columbia, College of Houston, College of North Texas at Dallas, College of Texas at Arlington, College of Texas at Austin, College of Texas at Dallas, College of Wisconsin Inexperienced Bay, and Virginia Tech.
