The mission of the girl scout troops across eastern Iowa and Western Illinois is to help make the world a better place.

“I am just really really proud of our organization and the way that we are able to come together and celebrate our girl scout movement as a whole. I grew up in the girl scout movement myself. So getting to come back and reconnect like this has meant so much just knowing how much our girls want to make the world a better place.” said Mikayla Ahrens, Senior Director of Member Experience of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois Girl Scouts.

“Girl scouts is actually a global sisterhood. There are girl guides in other countries and obviously girl scouts in the United States.

Kids were able to learn about different cultures by visiting the booths that represent different countries around the world. So it feels really proud to come together, bring all the girl scouts in the region together, and just celebrate our movement. Really see how they can make the world a better place.” said Maura Warner, Vice President of Marketing and Retail of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois Girl Scouts.
