Central Illinois automotive plant evacuated after fire

An automotive plant in central Illinois needed to be evacuated Saturday after a fireplace. It occurred round 10:38 a. m. at theRivian Automotive Plant, 100 N Rivian Motorway. The Regular, Illinois Fireplace Division says it began resulting from a faulty battery pack that caught hearth contained in the buildingwhere the batteries are constructed for the Rivian autos. We’re instructed the battery meeting space of the plant needed to be evacuated. Bloomington firefighters have been additionally referred to as to the scene to assist.
