Power outages affect nearly 2,000 in Metro Detroit
Nearly 2,000 people in Metro Detroit were affected by power outages Wednesday morning, most of them in the Taylor area.
DTE Energy’s outage map included the following:
- St Clair Shores area: (12 Mile/Jefferson area) – 816 without power.
- Detroit: (8 Mile/Southfield Freeway area) – 218 without power.
- Taylor: (Eureka/Beech Daly) – About 1,500 without power.
An equipment problem is cited as the cause for the Eureka/Beech Daly area; restoration is expected later in the morning.
