Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions: Interim injury reports

Published

on

The second injury reports of the week are out for the Minnesota Vikings and the Detroit Lions as they prepare for Sunday’s regular season finale at Ford Field. Let’s take a look at the reports and see if any significant changes have been made, shall we?

Minnesota Vikings

  • CB Mekhi Blackmon (shoulder, downgrade from LP on Wednesday
  • OT Christian Darrisaw (illness, new addition to injury report)
  • CB Byron Murphy (knee)
  • WR Jalen Nailor (concussion)
  • OT Brian O’Neill (ankle)
  • DT Jaquelin Roy (ankle)

Limited Participation

  • G Ed Ingram (shoulder)
  • DB Theo Jackson (toe)
  • TE Nick Muse (knee)
  • S Harrison Smith (shoulder)

Full Participation

No players listed

Just a couple of changes on the report for Minnesota, and neither of them are positive. Darrisaw is now battling some sort of illness that kept him on the sidelines on Thursday, but hopefully it’s something he’ll be able to get over before Sunday. After participating in a limited capacity on Wednesday, Blackmon was back on the sidelines as well. Rarely is it a good thing for a player to be downgraded in the middle of the week like that. We’ll know more tomorrow.

Detroit Lions

Did Not Participate

  • DL Benito Jones (illness, new addition to injury report)
  • C Frank Ragnow (knee/back/toe, rest day)
  • WR Jameson Williams (ankle)
  • TE Brock Wright (hip)

Limited Participation

  • LB James Houston (ankle)
  • TE Sam LaPorta (ankle)
  • DT Alim McNeil (knee)

Full Participation

  • OT Taylor Decker (groin, upgrade from DNP on Wednesday)
  • S C.J. Gardner-Johnson (pectoral)
  • CB Cameron Sutton (toe)

Ragnow is getting his standard rest day in the middle of the week, much like he did the last time these two teams played. The Lions also gave G Graham Glasgow a day of rest, too, but he wasn’t previously on the injury report so I didn’t bother putting him on here. Taylor Decker is back to practice after sitting out on Wednesday, and that pretty well does it for the Lions’ second injury report.

We’ll have the final injury reports for you when they come out sometime tomorrow afternoon.
