Metro Detroit students to March For Our Lives tomorrow to protest gun violence
DETROIT (WXYZ) — Columbine, Sandy Hook, Virginia Tech, Marjory Stoneman Douglas, Oxford and Robb Elementary are only a few names among the many a whole lot of the nation’s faculties who at the moment are synonymous with tragic college shootings.
In response to the rise in gun violence that continues to plague the nation, together with sluggish legislative and faculty district response, college students from communities all through metro Detroit will make their voices heard Saturday as they be a part of collectively in protest at rallies organized by March for Our Lives.
The scholar-led effort, “born out of a tragic college capturing,” March For Our Lives is “devoted to selling civic engagement, schooling, and direct motion by youth to eradicate the epidemic of gun violence.”
Via the work of the group, college students hope to create secure, wholesome communities and faculties the place gun violence is out of date.
