Detroit teen drowns at Monroe County campground swimming pond

SUMMERFIELD TWP., Mich. – A 15-year-old boy drowned at a campground in Monroe County on Saturday.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Workplace reported the drowning occurred round 5:30 p.m. on the KOA Campground in Summerfield Township on Saturday afternoon.

Police had been referred to as to studies of a 15-year-old boy that had been lacking for roughly 20 minutes, and his final identified location was within the swimming pond.

Members of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Workplace, in addition to members of the Summerfield Township Fireplace Division, arrived on scene and commenced a search of the swimming pond.
