Detroit judge raises bond in assault case of 78-year-old woman

DETROIT – A choose in Detroit took motion Friday by elevating a defendant’s bond, which many regarded as too low contemplating the violent nature of the crime.

Police say Dazaun Johnson broke into the house of a 78-year-old girl and tried to sexually assault her.

In June, Johnson broke into the 78-year-old girl’s house, pulled her pants down, and pressed towards her whereas she was engaged on a crossword puzzle.

In line with authorities, the incident occurred round 10:40 a.m. within the 5800 block of Lodewyck Avenue on Detroit’s east facet.

Prosecutors described what Johnson admitted to police whereas in court docket Friday (Sept. 23).

“As soon as he entered the house, he pushed her down whereas she was making an attempt to struggle him off,” stated Assistant Wayne County Prosecutor Elizabeth Dornik.
