Detroit City FC wrapped up its road swing on a good note.

Le Rouge snapped a two-game skid and a five-game winless streak on Saturday with a 2-0 victory over USL Championship newcomer Rhode Island FC at Beirne Stadium.

DCFC got on the board in the 36th minute when Maxi Rodriguez was in the right place at the right time. After some crisp passing led to a shot in the box by Victor Bezerra that was blocked by the keeper, the ball found Rodriguez in front of the open net.

Le Rouge doubled its advantage in the second half when Bezerra got another scoring opportunity inside the box. This time, Bezerra finished and beat the keeper with a shot into the lower-right corner to make it 2-0 in the 64th minute.
