Democrats spotlight Biden alter-ego 'Dark Brandon' as they launch billboards near GOP convention
FIRST ON FOX – As GOP delegates, officials, activists, and supporters head to day two of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Democrats have a message for them.
The day after former President Trump was formally nominated as the GOP’s 2024 standard-bearer, the Democratic National Committee, in a messaging push shared first with Fox News, is touting what they highlight as President Biden’s “winning record.”
The DNC on Tuesday is launching eight new billboards in Milwaukee, urging Wisconsinites to “Vote Joe” and showcasing that in Biden’s three and a half years in the White House, he has “created more than 15 million new good paying jobs, lowered costs on health care and prescription drugs, and worked to strengthen our democracy, not tear it down.”

The new billboards feature “Dark Brandon” – an image of Biden featuring beaming laser red eyes that was created by his detractors and co-opted by his campaign – an alter-ego of the 81-year-old president used by his political team to extoll his policy victories.

“Restore Roe, vote for Joe,” reads an abortion-themed billboard.
Another one says “Get on board folks, we’re lowering prescription drug costs.,” while a different billboard reads “Democracy is on the ballot folks. Stand with Joe!!”
The Democratic National Committee on Tuesday is launching new billboards in Milwaukee that spotlight President Biden’s policy successes.
The DNC went up with billboards in Milwaukee earlier in July ahead of the start of the GOP convention that highlighted what they say were Trump’s failures in Wisconsin – a key battleground state – during his tenure in the White House.
However, those billboards were dropped, along with all TV ads across the country that were being run by the Biden campaign, after Saturday’s attempted assassination attempt on the former president at a Trump rally in western Pennsylvania.
Deputy communications director Abhi Rahman said that “the DNC is highlighting Joe Biden’s winning platform and policies that are delivering for the American people. We’re making sure voters know it by bringing Dark Brandon to Milwaukee to outline a bold second term agenda that sharply contrasts with what Wisconsinites are seeing on the RNC stage this week – restoring Roe, lowering costs, protecting Social Security, and safeguarding our democracy.”

The billboards are being launched the day after Trump named Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, who is a top Trump supporter in the Senate and a champion of the former president’s America First agenda, as his running mate.
Rahman charged that Trump, Vance and the GOP highlighted during the first day of the convention “unpopular and extreme policies that would rip fundamental rights away from women and leave working families behind.”

New Michigan O-line coach Jim Harding has one goal for spring practice
Jim Harding, Michigan’s new offensive line coach, has one goal coming out of spring practice: he wants to have a set starting five plus a solid sixth lineman for good measure.
Michigan begins spring practice March 17 and concludes with the spring game on April 18.
Harding, appearing on the Michigan in-house podcast, “In the Trenches” hosted by Jon Jansen, joined new Michigan head coach Kyle Whittingham’s staff from Utah, where Whittingham was head coach the last 21 years. Harding spoke about a number of topics, including returning to the Midwest — he grew up in Maumee, Ohio, and his wife is from Farmington Hills — and his love for the Detroit Tigers, but most important was his discussion about building the Wolverines’ offensive line.
“I’d like to establish the starting five where you feel good that when you go into fall camp,” Harding said on the podcast that posted Wednesday. “Those are the guys that are working together immediately from Day 1.”
Harding said he uses a sixth lineman — he terms that player the “rhino” — quite a bit and would like to have at least two ready to go. The Wolverines also need depth at center considering only Jake Guarnera has snapped in a game.
“And then just having that physicality, nastiness of the offensive line,” Harding said. “Just kind of develop that.”
Since arriving earlier this year at Michigan, Harding said he’s been impressed by the linemen and their desire to work hard on conditioning and developing their craft by asking questions and wanting feedback. They have gone to dinner as a group to get to know each other away from the facility, and Harding has enjoyed the process.
“The things that you can’t measure right now is our physicality or our toughness, things like that,” Harding said. “I’m confident that it won’t be an issue, but that’s kind of the next step once we get pads on, (finding out) who are kind of the Alpha dogs in the room that are going to set the tone for the unit, and then, obviously, the offense. But really pleased with what I’ve seen so far.”
Harding shared offensive coordinator Jason Beck’s approach to installing the offense.
“The way (Beck) runs it, everything’s on the table Day 1 in practice,” Harding said on the podcast. “So we’ll get a script with, if you count red zone, probably 60 or so plays, and any play can be called. It’s really unique, and I’d never done it this way, but Coach Beck, actually calls it like he does in the game. There are no scripts, and so we’ll just move the ball down the field, and if it’s a third play and it’s third and 3, well he’s going to call a third-and-3 call.
“So you really have to have the kids prepared for all 60 of those. And then the next day there’ll be maybe different formations and things like that once we get the concepts down in the O-line room for the run game. Now it’s just a matter of dressing up different things. It’s a lot of stuff early on, because every run scheme we have could be called on that first day, every pass protection we have could be called on that first day. So it’s a front-loaded installation.”

Lawmakers demand Keith Ellison resign as Minnesota fraud grilling turns brutal
WASHINGTON (TNND) — Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA) called on Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison to resign during the House Oversight Committee’s hearing on the widespread fraud in Minnesota.
Higgins began his line of questioning by referring to Ellison’s open statement.
“Under Minnesota law, my Office has limited jurisdiction over criminal matters. The only kind of criminal case we can prosecute on our own is Medicaid fraud; any other criminal case must be specifically referred to us by county attorneys or the Governor,” Ellison said in his opening statement.
Higgins stated Ellison said that his office only had the authority to investigate Medicaid fraud, to which Ellison nodded his head in response.
But, Higgins pointed out that was incorrect.
“Under your own law, you have authority if the county district attorney asks you to get involved, or if the governor asks you to get involved, then your office can take the lead on any criminal investigation,” Ellison said.
Ellison remained speechless after Higgins asked him if that his statement was correct.
“So you have the authority to lead your state’s effort to respond to this massive fraud at the state level, from within the health care realm, where government money has been stolen at very, very high levels, unprecedented levels, in your state,” Higgins said.
“Are you leading that effort for the state of Minnesota?”
Ellison replied but his response was not picked up by the microphone.
“You’re addressing it,” Higgins asked. “Are you leading it?”
Ellison responded, “we are leading the effort to prosecute Medicaid fraud.”
“I’m not talking about Medicaid fraud,” Higgins yelled.
“Don’t hide behind that. You have the authority to prosecute anything criminally that the governor asked you to. And this thing is big.”
“I’m giving you an opportunity, sir. Are you leading the criminal investigative effort into this massive fraud across the board in the healthcare spectrum, in the state of Minnesota or not,” Higgins continued.
Ellison replied, saying his office was “following the law,” prompting Higgins to interject.
“You are not leading,” Higgins responded. “You’re not leading. I must say, Mr. Chairman, that the Attorney General of Minnesota should resign.”
