Zada Forde places 44th at Cross Country UAAs – Brandeis University

BRANDEIS WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY AT UAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

CLEVELAND, OH. – The Brandeis University cross country teams traveled  to Ohio this weekend to compete in the University Athletic Assiciation’s cross country Invitations, hosted this year by Case Western Reserve University. The women’s team finished in eighth place with 227 points behind Rochester and host Case Western.

WOMEN’S HIGHLIGHTS

• Junior Zada Forde (Amherst, Mass / Amherst) led the Judges with a time of 23:56.8, earning herself 44th place.

• Junior Kyra Au (Great Neck, N.Y. / Great Neck South High School) put on a strong performance, only 11 places behind Forde for a time of 24:50.1.

• Sophomore Katriona Briggs (Menlo Park, Menlo Atherton) finished in 58th place with a time of 25:08.2, moving up a couple places on the team.

• First-year Sadie Harrow (Bangor, Maine / Bangor) completed her first UAA race with a time of 25:14.4, earning herself a 60th place finish.

• Sophomore Ella Warkentine (Malvern, Pa. / Conestoga) followed in 61st for a time of 25:19.2, and wrapping up the top five judges for a spread of 83 seconds.

• Senior Juliette Intrieri (North Salem, N.Y. / North Salem) placed 62nd with a time of 25:22.3.

• Freshman Shayna Zavell (Highland Park. Ill. / Highland Park) placed 64th with a time of 25:42.3.

• Senior Captain Lizzy Reynolds (Winchester, Mass./ Winchester) placed 65th with a time of 25:43.5.

Senior Captain Adah Anderson (Cumberland. R.I. / Cumberland ) placed 74th with a time of 27:58.2.

The Judges continue their season in 2 weeks at new England Regionals in Hopkins, New Hampshire on November 11th.
