CLEVELAND (WJW) — How hot is it? It’s so hot local hawks are acting like children.

As the heat index flirted with 100 degrees in Northeast Ohio Monday, something caught the eye of FOX 8 viewer Desiree Fender as she drove on Munn Road in Cleveland.

Fender stopped and recorded video of two large hawks running through a sprinkler in a front yard, just like kids cooling off in the summer.

The video also shows the hawks frolicking by appearing to bounce in the water spray of the sprinkler.

“Oh my gosh, so cute, I had to get it on video,” Fender told Fox 8 News.

“The hawks were hopping in the sprinkler and I couldn’t believe my eyes,” she said.

You can use your own eyes to see the video recorded by Desiree from Desired Moments Photography in the media player at the top of this story.
