COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State earned a commitment from three-star offensive line prospect Gabe VanSickle on Thanksgiving evening.

The No. 613 player in the 2024 class, VanSickle, from Coopersville, Michigan, will be the fourth commit in the class along the offensive line.

VanSickle just de-committed from Northwestern earlier this week, as the Buckeyes remained in hot pursuit of the interior offensive lineman. He held offers from Northwestern, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Indiana, Miami (OH), Northern Illinois and Western Michigan.

He will join an Ohio State class that already has Ian Moore, Devontae and Deontae Armstrong committed up front.

The Buckeyes’ 2024 class is the second-highest ranked in the 247Sports rankings, behind only Georgia. Ohio State has the highest average player rating in the country, at 93.53.

Ohio State remains after five-star tackle Jordan Seaton, who would join the class as the fifth commitment. Should the Buckeyes not be able to swing him, VanSickle could be the last piece of the Ohio State 2024 offensive line class.
