Three-star 2026 safety commits to Ohio State after decommitting from Maryland
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Three-star safety Khmari Bing, after he decommitted from Maryland last week, committed to Ohio State on Tuesday night.
From St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Bing is the No. 918 overall prospect in the 247Sports composite rankings in the 2026 class and will play safety in Columbus.
It’s the second-straight night for Ohio State to land a 2026 prospect, as three-star offensive lineman Landry Brede flipped his decision from NC State to Ohio State on Monday night.
Bing joins Blaine Bradford and Simeon Caldwell as the three members of the 2026 safety class. He visited Ohio State on Oct. 4 for the Minnesota game in an official visit capacity, and decommitted from Maryland two days later.
Ohio State’s efforts in the 2026 class will ramp up with about seven weeks left until National Signing Day, and needs still elsewhere in the recruiting class.
Now, with Bing in the mix, the secondary group in that cycle is coming to fruition.
