CLEVELAND, Ohio — Twenty-one years after its launch, The Shins will revisit its indie album “Oh, Inverted World” with a tour that arrives on the Agora on Sept. 2. Joseph will open the present.

Tickets to the tour, starting from $60 to $110, go on sale on Friday, Might 20 on AXS.

On the present, count on to listen to among the band’s best-known songs, together with “New Slang,” “Caring is Creepy” and “The Previous and Pending,” all captured on the band’s 2001 album (which will likely be performed in full, in line with a press launch). Plus, the band will combine in another deep cuts and hits.

The Shins have been rocking since 1996, however singer-guitarist James Mercer is the one remaining unique member of the group. Mercer mirrored on “Oh, Inverted World” in a press release:

“Every part was so tongue-in-cheek within the indie world of the ‘90s. … I bear in mind feeling a eager for some form of romance in music once more, one thing earnest, like an actual try at some emotional language.”

The final time The Shins carried out in Cleveland was on the Agora in 2017.
