Northeast Ohio weather: Tracking showers, few storms next couple days
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A cold front tracking through the region is the focus for showers and a few thunderstorms today.
As this front stalls out just south of the lakeshore, there will be a big split in temperatures this afternoon.
Most of the lakeshore stays in the 60s with a north to northeast wind while locations farther south climb well into the 70s and 80s.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be in the region.
While the overall severe risk is low, a strong storm or two with heavy rainfall and gusty winds is possible.
A couple showers may linger overnight, then more scattered showers and storms develop during the day on Friday.
Saturday is trending dry with decent sunshine, followed by a few showers possible on Sunday morning.
Sunday afternoon looks dry overall.
The next chance for rain is Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile, temperatures stay fairly steady in the mid to upper 70s all week, holding shy of the 80s for now.
