Northeast Ohio weather: Snow chances Sunday, active pattern through next week
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for Carroll, Columbiana, and Tuscarawas Counties until 4 AM.
Watch for reduced visibility and patchy freezing drizzle overnight.
Snow showers look to redevelop after midnight.
Minor snow accumulation of about an inch or so is possible with the overnight round of activity.
Temperatures tonight will dip into the lower 30s.
We will be back into the mid 30s Sunday with more scattered snow showers in the forecast.
Where more organized bands can set up, snow totals of 1″ to 2″ looks possible.
Our only break in what will be a very active stretch for Northeast Ohio will be on Monday.
We are tracking a larger storm system Tuesday which will initially bring a few snow showers Tuesday morning before a quick transition to all rain.
Temperatures will warm Tuesday into the mid 40s.
It will also be very windy Tuesday through Thursday.
Sustained winds 20 to 30 MPH will accompany gusts upwards of 40+ MPH.
We will see colder air arrive Wednesday to transition rain to snow.
Lingering lake effect snow remains possible Thursday.
Another system at the end of the week and into next weekend has our attention.
Track will be very important to nail down details.
As the data stands right now, this looks to be a mainly snow event that could bring very windy conditions back to our area.
Keep checking in with the team as we closely monitor the details for next weekend’s storm system.
