Northeast Ohio Weather: Near record warmth today; much colder tomorrow

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A major storm is near Kansas City this morning.

It will be over Lake Huron by tomorrow morning.

A cold front tracks through the area tonight.

It will be a very warm and windy day in advance of the cold front today.

The record high in Cleveland is 76 degrees and we will be flirting with that number.

A good deal of high and middle level clouds around.

A south wind will gust over 40 mph at times with high temperatures easily in the lower to middle 70s area wide.

Storms will fire west of our area this afternoon then will track east.

The highest risk of rain and storms for our area will be late tonight and early morning tomorrow.

A breezy and very warm night ahead. Temperatures by morning will generally be in the 50s.

A blast of colder air builds in tomorrow.

A winter mix of showers will be around during the afternoon with a secondary cold front that rolls through.

Temperatures crash through the 40s by late day. A southwest to west wind will gust over 35 mph at times as these changes happen.

It’ll even be cold enough for some scattered lake effect snow showers Thursday evening.
