CLEVELAND, Ohio — A handful of school districts in the Cleveland area have canceled classes for today because of icy road conditions.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for much of Northeast Ohio until noon today, including Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, Lake, Geauga, Lorain, Medina, Portage, Stark and Summit counties.

The hourly forecast shows freezing rain and sleet falling through the night until about 6 a.m., then changing over to snow and a snow/rain mix for the rest of the morning. It’s expected to become all rain during the afternoon as temperatures climb to the upper 30s.

Below is a list from WKYC Channel 3 of districts in the Cleveland area that have canceled or delayed classes for today. WKYC’s list is more extensive and includes district south and west of the Cleveland area.
