No. 2 Ohio State football vs. Northwestern: Relive the game from Wrigley Field as it happened

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Ohio State Buckeyes are in Chicago for Saturday’s matchup against Northwestern.

The Buckeyes (8-1) are 21-1 all time against the Wildcats, with 10 consecutive wins in the series since their lone loss, 33-27 in overtime, in 2004.

Northwestern (4-5) is in the midst of rebuilding Ryan Field, with hopes of reopening in 2026. In the meantime the Wildcats have been playing their home games at Martin Field, a temporary stadium that sits right on Lake Michigan. The venue for Saturday’s matchup, however, is Wrigley Field, home of Major League Baseball’s Chicago Cubs.

12:11, 3Q: Carnell Tate catches an eight yard TD pass from Will Howard for his second score of the game. Ohio State leads 28-7.

3:04, 1Q: Will Howard’s deep TD pass to Jeremiah Smith was reversed and called incomplete and Ohio State was forced to punt. Northwestern will takeover inside their own 10-yard line.
