CLEVELAND, Ohio — Myles Garrett and the rest of the Browns’ defense put Ja’Marr Chase’s Elf talk on the Shelf, and got a fresh batch of bulletin board material for when the Browns and Bengals meet again in the season finale Jan. 7.

The Bengals’ star receiver fired up the Browns heading into Sunday’s season opener by saying during the week that he almost called them “the Elfs” — from their Brownie logo at midfield — and also borrowed a page from JuJu Smith-Schuster’s motivational master class by saying “Cleveland is Cleveland.”
