Man shot while walking near school on Cleveland’s West Side
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A man was shot while walking in the city’s Jefferson neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.
Cleveland police responded to the area of W. 143rd Street and Fairlawn Avenue around 1:15 p.m.
This is also near an elementary school, but no children were injured.
According to police, the male was shot twice by an unknown suspect.
EMS transported him to an area hospital, where his name and condition have not been released.
Officers added several homes in the area were also struck by bullets.
The gunman remains on the loose.
