BRANDEIS MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY AT UAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

CLEVELAND, OH. – The Brandeis University cross country teams traveled  to Ohio this weekend to compete in the University Athletic Assiciation’s cross country Invitations, hosted this year by Case Western Reserve University. The men’s team finished in eighth place with a total time of 2:16:34.30, just behind University of Rochester, with a total time of 2:13:12.30.

MEN’S HIGHLIGHTS

• Junior Lucas Dia (Montclair, N.J. / Montclair) showed a strong performance, finishing once again first for Brandeis in 47th place with a time of 26:44.4. He saw a strong improvement from last year’s UAAs, where he ran 27:27.6 and placed 68th.

• Junior Dashshiell Janicki (New York, N.Y. / HS for Math Science and Engineering at City College) followed next in 61st place with a time of 27:20.0, almost 2 minutes faster than UAA time last year. 

• Senior Henry Nguyen  (Worcester, Mass. / Worcester Vocational Tech) finished his last cross country UAAs two places behind in 63rd place for a time of 27:22.5.

• Sophomore Robert King (Clarksville, MD /River Hill finished at 27:30.0 for 66th place.

• Sophomore TJ Carleo (Newburyport, M.A. / Newburyport) wrapped up the top five in 68th place for a time of 27:37.4, giving the Judges 53-second spread among their top five runners.

• First-year Hugh Licklider (Newton, Mass. / BC High) ran 27:56.3 for 70th place

• Senior Captain Sam Kim (Phillips Exeter, N.H. / La Joya, C.A.) ran 28:38.5 for 73rd place

• Sophomore Dylan Zhao (Staten Island, N.Y. / Brooklyn Tech) ran 28:56.8 for 74th place

• Senior Captain Willem Goff (Pelham, Mass. / Amherst Regional) ran 29:28 for 76th place

• Sophomore Garret Rieden (Littleton, Mass. / Littleton) ran 29:42.2 for 77th place
