CLEVELAND, OH — One of the last undefeated teams in the NFL prepares for a road test in the Midwest, as the San Francisco 49ers are set to take on the Cleveland Browns.

The 49ers might not be the flashiest of teams, but they have certainly been efficient. Outside of their one-touchdown win over the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2, San Francisco has dominated, winning by an average margin of 19.8 points per game. On last week’s Sunday Night Football, The Niners blew out their longtime rivals, the Dallas Cowboys, scoring six touchdowns on their way to a 42-10 win. Four of their touchdowns came from the arm of Brock Purdy, who found George Kittle for three scores.

It has been an impressive run for the team that came within a win of the Super Bowl last year. With a defense that has allowed just under 14 points per game, SanFran has what it takes to play in Glendale.

Cleveland is fresh off of their bye week, and they needed it after getting their lunch handed to them by the Baltimore Ravens, 28-3. Which is ironic, given that two of the Browns’ wins this season have come when their defense held the Cincinnati Bengals and Tennessee Titans to three points. Now, giving up more than three points does not mean an automatic loss for Cleveland, but with Deshaun Watson still out of the lineup, and former Carolina Panthers PJ Walker starting at quarterback on Sunday, the Browns are certainly in a tough spot against the Niners.

The Browns are 12-8 against the Niners, though San Francisco won the last meeting during the 2019 season.
