CLEVELAND, OH — A return of one of the most dynamic quarterbacks is set for Saturday, as the Arizona Cardinals receive a boost heading into their matchup with the Cleveland Browns.

It is odd to see the big story in a matchup coming out of the camp of a one-win team. However, that is the case this Sunday, as the Cardinals are getting their franchise player back. Kyler Murray has been out of the lineup with an ACL injury. He was almost cleared for last week’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, but the team elected to wait an extra week. The team made room for him on the roster by trading Joshua Dobbs to the Minnesota Vikings, everyone hoping Murray can quickly get back to form. While he will not save the season, hopes are that he can get back into a rhythm he and the Cards can carry into next season.

The Browns come into Week 9 in a three-way tie for second in the AFC North with the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers. Cleveland had a chance to be in sole possession of that spot last week, but mistakes against the Seattle Seahawks, including a touchdown allowed in the game’s final minute, led to a 24-20 loss, ending the Browns’ short win streak. Cleveland’s defense forced a couple of turnovers in the game, but could not come up with the big play when the team needed it most. If they can be tough against Murray on Sunday, there is no reason the Browns should not come away with a win.

While Cleveland leads the series against Arizona, 33-16-3, the Cardinals have won each of the last five meetings dating back to 2007.
