How Kyle McCord, the offensive line and the rest of Ohio State’s offense graded vs. Western Kentucky

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State’s offense finally found a way to get explosive on its way to a 63-10 win over Western Kentucky.

It was the first game in which they stuck with one full-time quarterback, resulting in a day where Kyle McCord completed 19 of 23 passes for 318 yards and three touchdowns. Marvin Harrison Jr. put together his second straight 100-yard receiving performance with 126 yards and a touchdown on five catches to go along with a Pro Football Focus grade of 80.2.

But neither of those players earned the Buckeyes’ highest offensive grade. That went to lineman Josh Fryar (85.2) as one of eight players to play at least 20 snaps and have a grade of at least 70.

Here’s how the rest of the offense graded:

(PFF grades every player on every play and uses a scale of 0-100, with higher grades indicating better play. PFF has explained its grades this way: 100-90 elite; 89-85 Pro Bowler; 84-70 starter; 69-60 backup; 59-0 replaceable. In other words, it’s similar to how we would match up percentages with traditional letter grades in school.)
