CLEVELAND, Ohio — Harry Belafonte, who died Tuesday on the age of 96, was one of the vital gifted entertainers of the Child Boomer era. I didn’t say Black entertainers, for Belafonte’s items to audiences had been colorless, a lot in the best way all artist’s expertise are.

Will we dare ascribe coloration to the masterly works of Barry Jenkins, Viola Davis or Morgan Freeman?
