COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State earned the commitment of a four-star receiver on Saturday night, just hours after its season-opening win over Akron.

Four-star 2025 wideout Phillip Bell announced his pledge to Ohio State over USC, giving the Buckeyes another weapon in the class.

Bell, the No. 184 overall prospect and No. 19 wide receiver in the class, is Ohio State’s fourth wide receiver commit of the class. He joins Quincy Porter, De’zie Jones and Bodpegn Miller as the other wide receivers in the class.

“I’ve been pushing for him like crazy,” five-star quarterback Tavien St. Clair said. “The last 2 months, I’ve been heavy on him. I know he’s a game-changer. We need that.”

Ohio State’s wideout class is now seemingly complete, with the desired four commits in the cycle. The Buckeyes’ No. 1 class now has 26 overall commits.
