Family Dollar, Dollar Tree closing 35 Ohio stores, 7 in Northeast Ohio

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Family Dollar and Dollar Tree will be closing 35 stores throughout Ohio, seven of which in Northeast Ohio.

According to the WARN notice provided to the Ohio Dept. of Jobs and Family Services (Ohio JFS), the closures impact 265 employees.

The following Northeast Ohio stores will be closing, effective April 20:

  • 6704 N. Ridge Rd., Madison (Lake County)
  • 9302 Miles Ave., Cleveland (Cuyahoga County)
  • 1250 E. 105th St., Cleveland (Cuyahoga County)
  • 19 N. Arlington St., Akron (Summit County)
  • 400 Oberlin Rd., Elyria (Lorain County)
  • 2138 State Route 45, Austinburg (Ashtabula County)
  • 580 Vernon Odom Blvd., Akron (Summit County)

According to CBS News, Family Dollar announced in late March they would be closing 600 stores.
