Euclid man arrested for setting Cleveland home on fire
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – The man accused of setting a Cleveland home on fire this past weekend is now charged with aggravated arson and in custody.
On Tuesday, Cleveland firefighters issued an arrest warrant for Tyric Green, 21, of Euclid.
According to firefighters, Green started a fire at a home on W. 106th and Clifton Blvd. on April 20.
Freitas and Cecelia Li , and their seven-month-old baby, escaped safely by jumping out a second-story window.
The couple’s dog, Salami, was killed, but they were reunited with their cat, Evelyn, Tuesday.
Damage is estimated at more than $700,000.
Two other homes and two vehicles were also damaged in the arson.
According to firefighters, the home owner is the landlord of Green’s grandmother.
