Euclid businessman found dead in driveway

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Euclid police say a man was found dead in his driveway with gunshot wounds late Thursday night.

Neighbors in the 26500 block of Aaron Drive called police at about 10:40 p.m. after hearing gunfire. When police responded, they found the victim in the driveway of his home.

The Cuyahoga County medical examiner’s office identified him as Derek Wooten, 59.

Wooten was the former owner of Mitchell’s Ultra Lounge, a live music venue and restaurant at 24900 Euclid Ave.

Police are investigating the shooting. No arrests have been made.
