Elyria police arrest woman for robbing bank

ELYRIA, Ohio (WOIO) – A 31-year-old Cleveland woman is under arrest for allegedly robbing an Elyria bank on Saturday, Dec. 16.

Elyria police said Tyaesha Hunter walked into the U.S. Bank in the 400 block of Midway Blvd. around 9 a.m.

After indicating she had a weapon, she received an undetermined amount of money from the clerk and fled on foot, said police.

Elyria detectives identified Hunter as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant.

Hunter was taken into custody in the 12000 block of Lenacrave Ave. in Cleveland.

Elyria police said Cleveland police and ATF agents assisted with the arrest.

Hunter is charged with aggravated robbery and being held at the Lorain County Jail.
