Cleveland Heights officials ask neighbors to ‘stay away’ from police situation

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio (WOIO) – Cleveland Heights officials are asking people to stay home during a police “operation.”

According to Cleveland Heights’ director of communications and public engagement Mike Thomas, neighbors are asked to stay home around the 2000 block of Staunton Road Saturday evening.

Officials have blocked traffic in the area.

Cleveland Heights released an update around 9 p.m. Saturday to say, “there is no immediate threat.”

Thomas said the situation is still developing and officials will release more information later.
