According to the Great Lakes Science Center, the eclipse in Cleveland will begin at 1:59 p.m. and will end at 4:28 p.m., with the period of totality from 3:13 p.m. until 3:17 p.m. This means the home opener game will take place after the eclipse event.

In a release by the Cleveland Guardians, single game tickets for all 81 home games will go on sale on Feb. 16 at 10 a.m. All tickets for the 2024 season will be mobile entry and fans will utilize the Ballpark app to enter Progressive Field.

A portion of Ohio, and Cleveland in particular, will be within the path of totality of the eclipse on the afternoon of April 8. The city and others within the path are preparing for the eclipse with events centered around its viewing, drawing major crowds to see this once-in-a-lifetime event.
