Bond set at $50K for Cleveland man charged in murder-for-hire plot against son

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A Cleveland dad accused of making an attempt to rent somebody to kill his son, had his preliminary look in Cuyahoga County Court docket of Frequent Pleas Monday morning.

Westlake police arrested Desmen Ramsey, 58, on Oct. 14.

Westlake Police Cpt. Gerald Vogel stated an worker of a Canterbury Highway enterprise known as police round 10:45 p.m. on Oct. 13 to report ‘suspicious’ voicemails.

The worker advised police a person talked about placing a “$5,000 hit” on somebody, main police to consider this was a murder-for-hire plot, stated Cpt. Vogel.

Police stated they found the person had dialed an incorrect quantity whereas leaving the incriminating message.

In response to police, Ramsey admitted he had gotten into an argument along with his son lately and made the decision after ingesting.

Ramsey’s son declined any safety on account of the threats, added Cpt. Vogel.

Ramsey is now being held on a $50,000 bond on the Cuyahoga County Justice Middle.
