Arraignment for Cleveland driver who allegedly killed 1 woman, critically injured 2nd woman

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A 33-year-old Cleveland man pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Wednesday in connection with a deadly car accident from earlier this week.

Cleveland police said Juan Soto was driving when he crashed into another car at the intersection of Clark Avenue and Fulton Road around 3 a.m. Monday.

The impact of the crash pushed the vehicles into a nearby Rally’s restaurant, catching it on fire.

Soto is charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and aggravated vehicular assault. The judge set his bond at $60,000.

Gilmarie Quinones died from her injuries.

Her sister, Hillary Pineiro, was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries, according to family members.
