4 Ohio towns among Top 20 cities for single young professionals, report says

If you’re single and ready to mingle, four cities in Ohio are among the best in the U.S. for young professionals.

Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland and Toledo all rank among the Top 20 best cities for single young professionals, according to a report from Renthop.com. Cincinnati ranks fifth on the list while Columbus placed 10th, Cleveland ranked 12th and Toledo ranked 17th overall.

The report compared the 100 most populated cities in the U.S. across three categories: Career score, including job opportunities and median nonfamily household income; Cost of living, including median rent, cost of groceries, and cost of dining out for two people; and dating opportunities, such as percentage of single population, percentage of population between 20 and 34 years of age, and interest in dating, measured by Google searches that include dating apps.

By category, Cincinnati ranked seventh among U.S. cities in dating opportunities while Cleveland ranked 10th, Columbus placed 20th, and Toledo is 28th on the list.

Looking at cost of living, all four cities again ranked in the Top 20, with Toledo ranking No. 1 while Cincinnati is seventh, Cleveland is 10th and Columbus ranked 19th, according to the report.

Those four Ohio cities ranked a bit lower when it came to career score, however. Columbus was the highest-ranking Ohio city in career score at 35th overall while Cincinnati ranked 68th, Cleveland placed 83rd and Toledo ranked 90th.
