3 teens shot in car on Cleveland’s East Side; 17-year-old dies from his injuries
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Three teenagers were shot early Sunday morning while driving in a Kia Forte on the city’s East side.
The shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. in the area of St. Clair Avenue and London Road.
When Cleveland police arrived on the scene, two 16-year-old boys were laying in the street.
Police said one 16-year-old was shot in the hand and arm and the other was shot in the face. Both were transported to University Hospitals by Cleveland EMS.
The 17-year-old victim was found slumped over in the driver’s seat of the Kia Forte. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified him as Tireese Martin-Croom.
According to police, the teens were shot by a suspect in a dark colored SUV. After the shooting, the suspect vehicle left the area.
Police added they found multiple firearms inside the Kia Forte.
There are no arrests and anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 216-623-5464.
